Meeting Rooms
Grand Pennington Ballroom

In the tradition of the original Davenport Ballrooms, the new Grand Pennington has been designed to capture the elegance of a by-gone era. With 6,253 square feet and state-of-the-art technology, this exceptional space can accommodate up to 450 guests for dining, 620 theater seating and 320 guests classroom style.
Hall of the Doges

When completed in 1904, The Hall of The Doges was called the most opulent ballroom north of San Francisco. The design concept was inspired by the Doges' Palace in Saint Mark's Square, Venice, Italy. During our 2002 restoration process, this ballroom was lifted by crane prior to demolition from the original Pennington portion of the hotel. Upon erection of the new building, the Hall of the Doges was carefully placed back in the new structure as the foyer to The Grand Pennington Ballroom. The 2,976 square feet of space can comfortably accommodate 300 guests for receptions.
Marie Antoinette Ballroom

This room was Mrs. Davenport's favorite. The French Neoclassical design of the ballroom lends itself well to festive occasions. The three original chandeliers were purchased for $10,000 each in 1914. Ideally suited for weddings and galas, the 4,380 square foot Marie Antoinette Ballroom features a beautiful inlaid quarter-sawn oak dance floor and elegant balcony. The Ballroom can comfortably seat 300 dining guests. Classroom style seating accommodates 150 guests and 320 guests can be seated theater style.
Isabella Ballroom

The Isabella Ballroom was originally the hotel dining room and is located conveniently off the Lobby. The design reflects Italian Neoclassical influence. During World War II, the windows were paneled over to comply with blackout standards and remained covered until 2001. Once panels were removed, the direct sunlight gave the room an entirely different look and feel. Exquisitely detailed, the 3,177 square foot ballroom is a perfect setting for conference sessions or social functions. 200 guests can be seated for dining, 300 theater style and 150 guests in a classroom format.
Early Bird Room

Located on the Lower Lobby Level, across from The Spa Paradiso, this elegant room has a built-in dance floor and is able to accommodate groups up to 140 people for dinner, 250 people for theater style seating, and 120 people for classroom seating.
Elizabethan Room

This English Tudor quarter-sawn oak room was Louis Davenport's favorite. The chandeliers are original and made of 75 pounds of sterling silver each. The Elizabethan Room, on the Mezzanine level, offers 2,200 square feet of flexible function space. For dining, the capacity is 120 guests, classroom style 110 guests, and 200 for receptions.
Smaller Meeting Rooms

The Davenport Hotel also has several smaller meeting rooms located on the mezzanine level, ideal for groups ranging from eight people up to 80 people. These rooms include the Flowerfield, Porter, Cutter, Roosevelt, Matador, Lincoln, State Suite A & B, Worthy Room, and Circus room (7th Floor).
